Today we were able to witness the profession of faith of Macy and Brooke. It’s hard to put into words. When the twins came home from Africa this summer they had decided they want to take the next step. They were able to spend time in God’s word and see His work in action, without all the distractions of day to day life. It has been a privilege to watch them walk with Him and hear their stories.
We were able to have many family and friends come to church and eat with us. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. All people that have prayed for them and walked through life with them. The greatest blessing is, this isn’t even everyone. There are so many more!!! Someone today said her mom was in bible study with Grandma blueberry 16 years ago and prayed for Brooke. Crazy how our lives all come together. God is so big and so amazing!!
The girls asked Miss Dawn to be their mentor. We could not think of a more perfect person. Miss Dawn endured the good, bad and ugly with these two and have shown them God’s love through and through. I told Miss Dawn today, she taught them their first bible study. She babysat them until they went to school. Because the twins didn’t leave the house, Miss Dawn brought all the good stuff to them. Most importantly a book of bible stories they would read. I still have it, the pages are falling out but the twins still remember it. Such a precious memory and shows her amazing heart.
Thank you everyone for loving on our kiddos and praying for them. It’s such a blessing to see them loving God and striving to have Him in their lives.
God has big plans. He does not promise no trials but when you know who to look to in those trials there is an internal peace that He will see you through.
Go let your light shine sweet girls! God’s got you and dad and I are ALWAYS here for you!!
