Improving already :)

Brooke did well last night. She is showing people she has a temper. She screams and shakes her fists! Yesterday her weight was down 1# from Monday, but with the fluids she is back up a little. She is playing this morning and I've even seen a few smiles :) Dr. Mageed was just in and her dehydration definitely looks better. Some of her counts went down, which is consistent with a virus. We are still waiting on a viral panel to see what it shows. They are also starting her on TPN, because they don't want her to loose to much weight while not being tube fed. So chances are we won't be home til Wed or Thurs. (that's what I get for putting my suitcase away). On a positive note, Brooke hasn't been in the hospital for 3 months. That is a record for her. You go Brooke! With that said I can understand that she was missing her friends and wanted to come back for a short stay :)
Steve went home last night and still got to go away with friends, which is always good for the heart, mind and soul. I got spoiled last night and got a pizza with everything on it. That might not seem like a big deal, but I've eaten pepperoni pizza for 15 years (because that is what Steve likes and it's cheaper). Thanks to my wonderful in laws I had yummy pizza and watched chic flicks :) We also had visitors. Thanks Karen and Carrie for helping me pass some time.
Even though this may not be what we "planned" it will not get us down. We know Brooke's life will not be planned. With any of us, plans are to be held loosely. Our plans, may not be God's, and when we follow Him we will have much greater satisfaction and joy. Thank you all for the prayers. We are once again seeing Brooke improve.
