School's almost done!

1 1/2 more days and I get my girls home for the summer! We are ready, but I'm sure the novelty of it will wear off after a week or so :) No jury duty for me this week ;) That puts a smile on my face. Steve asked me if it was REALLY that bad and worth all the complaining. Yes it was :) Someday when I have time I'd love to do it. I'm all about Law and Order, but I'd rather be with my family now.
WHITE CAPS! We got to take the girls to the White Caps game. Too bad it rained and we only got to the 3rd inning. But we get to reschedule and try again. The girls got to watch people and eat their junk food so they were happy. We even got to take a friend along! We'll try for better weather next time :) The twins spent the night at Grandpa and Grandma's so we were free for a night!!

As many of you know we got new windows last fall. Steve and I have been married 15 years and never had new windows. Actually we haven't had hardly any windows that open. We had air conditioning, so who needs windows. Well, we love to open our windows now. The fresh air is great!! When we left for the game the weatherman called for rain to the south. Stupid weathermen!! We left our windows open and come home to some wetness, unfortunately our computer was by one of the windows. So after some drying we are waiting to see if they can save the information, because the computer is a lost cause. Oh well! Back in the day (approximately 2 years ago) something like this would have upset us. Not so much anymore. It's just stuff.
This is our attempt to save the computer. HEHEHE.

Steve and I have also been talking crops lately, "farmer talk." Obviously there has been too much rain. It can stop any day now! I asked Steve when he's going to go into the "great depression." He said his perspective on things have changed the last 2 years. Obviously he's not a fan of seeing his crops under water, but in the GRAND scheme of things we have a great family and a little girl that is making more progress than we ever imagined.
A year ago we were told Brooke would need another transplant. They said get ready for round #2. We cried, didn't understand, but mentally prepared ourselves and got ready. It never happened!! God had Greater Plans! He said, "be still. have patience." Thank you Jesus! We are willing to wait. Just don't put her through that again! Look where she is today, from last year! She is pulling herself up, creeping and talking up a storm. I don't even think she looks as "sick." (maybe I'm just use to it. Mom's sometimes have rose colored glasses :) She still has a long way to go, but we've seen progress. Slow and steady wins the race! We will run the race He has planned for us. We're not out to win, just finish and honor Him!
