It's gonna be a good day :)

Bruiser! Sportin a blue cast. She picked blue because it's the only color she knows :) We are working on that.
Day 3, she even looks a little naughty :) Yeah!!!

A wise man once told me "if you wake up sucking air, it's gonna be a good day." Can you guess who that was? Yep, my dad! So technically we have never had a bad day in our life, we just have to learn to take what rolls our way. That last couple days we have been rolling. Maybe I should rephrase, the days have been ok, the nights were grueling. I'm too old to be up all night, but with my friend, Maxwell House, we did just fine. The 1st 2 nights the pain was a little too much for Ash. + the vomiting and diarrhea. Then the Lortab (pain med) makes her not be able to sleep even when she REALLY wants to, so we gave her benedryl to sleep, but that dries out her mucous membranes. To say the least, I'm not sure I helped her much. So, we'd sleep on the couch and make the best it. Her days are ok. She's not running a marathon but she does ok. Last night she slept all night, as did Macy. It's refreshing to wake up and say, it's been 7 hours and everyone is ok!! YIPPEEE, so we are rested and still "sucking air"

Yesterday I took Macy to her ortho appt. The MD said the breaks heal themselves so if she's really careful we don't need to cast it, but just have her be careful: no running, biking, falling, and they should never be on a trampoline etc. That seemed like such a funny statement. It makes me laugh just reading it :) Macy has has fallen on it numerous times with the splint, I have no desire to tell a 3 year old to lay low. I'd have to sit on her. So she has a cast to protect the bones for 4 weeks, then it comes off and she's good to go.

So, the week is almost done. We are at Friday and vacation awaits us. We are going to get 1 more camping trip in before school starts. Steve and I are so thankful for this week. It was busy, but it could've been worse, and it all worked out. I am so thankful we are able to work together as a husband/wife and a family. We never feel we are doing any of this alone. Today is Steve's 1st full day of being at work since Monday. It's taken both of us to parent this crew :)

Psalm 34:8 "Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who takes refuge in him."

Psalm 118:24 "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

I also put a few pictures of the other girsl. Can't forget the rest of them :) They've been amazing helpers and caregivers for their sisters.

I can't honestly say Brooke has been a helper. She's been comical entertainment, so in that sense she's helped. She's 3 years old, need I saw more!
