DETERMINATION!!!

3 years ago many prayers of different nature were said. Prayers for healing, whether it was here on earth or in heaven. Prayers for no more suffering or pain for Miss Brooke. Once we were through the "storm" I told Steve I didn't think Brooke would walk. He said "she'll walk, it's all just going to take a little while."

This weekend I took the ladies to Mt. Baldy. (For those that don't know it's 300+ stairs leading up into the dunes in Saugatuck) This was our 3rd stop after the beach and a big boat. The weather was too beautiful not to enjoy. I had Macy on my back, Leah had Brooke. Brooke INSISTED on walking. We explained how far up it was, but she kept saying, " I CAN DO THIS!!" (If you know her, she has a little voice that can get VERY loud). I took her picture as she was almost to the top and I truly saw God's little light. All the doubts we had for the past 3 years. It's almost as if she was saying, "seriously mom? I am fine." And she is! She walked up all those steps, and she walked down all those steps. And when she got to the top, she took off her socks and shoes and played in the sand. What an amazing day with 5 amazing girls!

Don't you sometimes wish you had God's perspective when you THINK you need it :) I think His timing is amazing. He gives us what we need, when we need it. But what an amazing joy when the "aahh haaa" moment hits!
