You'd think we'd all be rested after vacation. I guess not?

We are back home and life is as normal. No surprises. Brooke had a couple MD appt's Monday. The first one was the neuro-developmental office. They increased her feedings. It seems like the morning retching may be from the tube feedings running all night. So we are changing the feeding schedule around some. I must say, it's somewhat hard to change her feeding schedule when we both work and have 4 other kids schedules to contend with. All we can do is try. Then Jane, our NP, asked why Brooke has the diagnosis of Chronic Lung. I agree, dumb diagnosis :) We Love Jane! :) Brooke has the diagnosis because she had PCP pneumonia and lung scarring. That was then, this is now. So we are just going to let that diagnosis rest for now :) They are also very happy about special ed. If they are happy, I'm happy :) They prescribed some meds to help with her runny nose and cough. We haven't started them yet because we wanted to start 1 new med at a time, but her runny nose is actually slowing down on it's own. So we'll see. So we don't go back there for 3 months.
Then to clinic. Labs were good and they started her on another new med to replace the pentam (to protect her from the PCP pneumonia). As you know she has been on 2 other meds to do this and had reactions to them. 3rd times a charm, right? Back to clinic in 2 weeks. Her little personality is coming out. She has a lot to say, in sign language and verbally. She is also not afraid to fight for what she wants. Last night we caught her trying to crawl. GO BROOKE!
On to Lent. Our family always gives up something for Lent. My delightful children (ages 11 and 7), along with their friends the Koops', decided to give up beer and smoking. WHAT!!! I asked them if this was going to be a challenge. They giggled and said, "nope, it's a piece of cake." I guess I'll worry when they REFUSE to give it up. However they decided to get more exercise in their day for Lent. Leah did aerobics with me last night. Not sure we made it through the workout but my gut hurts from laughing so hard. Steve gave up eating after supper, but now he likes to complain at 11pm how hungry he is. And I gave up candy, which is like chopping off an arm! Candy is easily a meal for me. To think of everything Jesus gave for us, 40 days is the least.
Brooke's sisters left her downstairs. When she needs something she says "mommy" So cute :)
