The Race is on!

Wednesday was the girls Pine wood derby race at church. Our girls get into it, (so does Steve). Leah has done well the past years, so Steve and his friend Phil have this little unspoken competition. Do you find it ironic that I started out saying "the girls have a pinewood derby race" and I end up talking about dad's? Steve reassures me he gives the girls lessons on geometry and physics while preparing the cars. Anyway, Megs came in 1st for her class 2nd over all. Leah came in 2nd in her class, and yes, Phil and Abby won over all this year. Go Koops!! Leah had a John Deere car and Megs was the Bone Marrow car. So cute, I was so proud of them (and Steve). Steve's parents watched Brooke and we took Macy with us.
After that Steve and I were reminiscing about the "spa." We were saying how thankful we are to be home, and sleeping all night, no beeping, and comfort. WHY DO WE SPEAK!?!?!?! Wednesday night Brooke's tube feeding pump went off twice because she lays on it, and Macy got up literally every 45 minutes to an hour. Ok, 1 bad night, right? Thursday night Macy gets the cold medicine. I'll fix this problem. That helped because she only got up every hour until 4 am, then she slept til 7a. Brooke decided to scream about something and lean over her crib until she almost feel out.

Macy has an excuse, she has a terrible cold. We call her a "snot wad." It's gushing out of her. And she has a terrible cough. So we just pray Brooke doesn't get it and if we have to get up hourly then we will. That's what coffee is for. They are cute so it's worth it.

This is something I found and it just summed up how I feel.

Peace: it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and STILL be calm in your heart. BE STILL!

To be honest, when all is quiet, no noise, no one tugging at my leg, no "MOM!", nothing to keep me on my toes, I am at that time not at peace. To me that means God has placed Steve and I right where we need to be. In the middle of craziness and loving every minute of it!

She might not sleep at night but sleeping on toys it great!
