There were plenty of tears leaving grandpa and grandma. We told the girls those were good tears. It means they care and I tell ya, we care ALOT!! Our week was great fun. Steve and I realize how blessed we are, when we got home Steve's parents called and took the girls to their house for lunch so we could sleep. We are doubly blessed!
When we left for Florida I grabbed a book to write my thoughts down, so I could share them with you. I use to journal sporadically, but since I've been writing the blog, and boring you all with my thoughts, I don't write them and keep them to myself. My last journal entry was 2/19/09. It was a plea, in a sense, in God. It reads, "Fix her (referring to Brooke :) so she can grow up with her sisters. I just want her home. I'm sick of being strong. I'm tired and I want my family back."
How reassuring to be on vacation with my family reading that as my last post. God so knows what He is doing. Look at where a year has taken us. The entry before that one talks about conversations with the doctors about trying "quickly" to fix Brooke's problems or they might not be "fixable." And a year later God is laughing us through Indiana on our way to Florida. (I said God was laughing, not Shelly :) He is so amazing and has plans for each and every one of us. Be Still.
"Not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled." Joshua 23:14
(The burning question.....will we drive to Florida again??? #1, our goals were met, we went and returned with 5 children. #2, Never say never. I learned that years ago after listening to others eat their words. #3, IT'S A LONG DRIVE WITH two 1 & 1/2 YEAR OLDS. #4, maybe, someday :)

Macy thought she'd hop in.
Our "Patio" that we packed our stuff
Shrink wrapped clothes. People told me it'd never fit :)
