Brooke is doing ok. She had a rough night last night. She was dry heaving and uncomfortable. We had a great nurse, Michelle, who walked us through. After morphine, benedryl and zofran (for nausea) she relaxed about 2:00am and slept til 6am. She would cry in her sleep and look at me like "what did you do to me?" I apologized for being so "high maintenance" to the nurses. As a nurse I knew, kinda, what to expect. As a mom I wanted to take the pain away. Dr. Mageed came in this morning and talked to Brooke and explained to her why she needed this. She just look at him with a trust in her eyes. He's a great man!
I got to come home this afternoon and be with the girls, while Steve's parents stayed with Brooke. I got real groceries for the 1st time since December. I want to thank you all for feeding my family for 4 months. Macy had fun at the grocery store, hamming it up with all the people. Steve planned to mow the lawn but the lawn mower wouldn't start, which in the end was a God thing. He got to take the girls for a Gator ride and play in the mud, they all had fun. Who cares about long grass :) My parents stopped by with elephant ears for the girls. Yummy sugar!
I got a book from friends called "sunny thoughts." I love it! It has a bunch of quotes from people. One says, "The way you live your life, the perspective you select, is a choice you make every single day when you wake up. It's yours to decide." It's so true! God is here and real. No matter what the circumstance we are here for Him, because He decided to put us here. Enjoy the day. Let the little things go, focus on happiness. So over all, we had a good day. The worst is behind us, and tomorrow will be another day. His mercies are new every morning. Have a great night and day everyone!!
