Happy Mother's Day!

Brooke's "button"

Happy Mother's day everyone! I hope everyone got to spend it with their family. We have had a great day. The girls made me breakfast (pancakes) and coffee. Megan wrote in her Mother's day book my favorite food was coffee. She is SOOO right :) They also picked me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers. I have the best girls!! This afternoon I came to the hospital to be with Miss Brooke and Steve went home.

Brooke is doing so well! Since last week Thursday she has been so happy, she sits up for longer periods of time, her feedings are going well and she doesn't really sleep (not sure that is a good thing). We think her meds might wire her, at least she's happy. There is talk of coming home this week. We are so ready! She'll still need IV medications and her tube feedings but it's all things we can do. And I told them I have many nurse friends I can recruit. We are super excited about the thought of being home and at the same time there are those feelings of reservations. It's like bring home a new baby. Not sure what to expect. However, when we get home we will still have to come to Grand Rapids to clinic 2-3 times a week. (we will be on a short leash). They did not draw any new labs this week. Dr. Mageed said he'll wait to check her T cells again. I wish I had all the pictures I took this am but those are on the other camera, so I will post a couple pictures of Miss Brooke. I'll post more soon. Thanks for the prayers and we'll keep you updated.
